Rampart’s pick rate now higher than Seer’s in Apex Legends Season 10

Apex Legends' Rampart buff is already having a noticeable effect

Rampart blows a pink bubblegum bubble and holds her minigun

She has meandered near the bottom of our Apex Legends tier list ever since she was released in Season 6, but following her buff in this week’s update, Rampart’s pick rate is finally on the rise.

The minigun-toting legend was given the ability to move around with her trusty Shiela, rather than have to keep it mounted in one place. As a result, her pick rate has skyrocketed over the last couple of days, to the point where she is now being played more often than Seer, Season 10’s new legend, and OG legends like Bangalore.

Prior to her buff, Rampart was at the very bottom of the pile when it comes to pick rates, with only 1.4% of players willing to pick her. However, she now boasts a pick rate of 5.2%, according to Apex Status, making her the sixth most-played legend in the game right now. Only the meta picks of Octane, Wraith, Pathfinder, Bloodhound, and Lifeline are being picked more frequently.

While this spike may be down to a rush of players wanting to try out the new and improved Rampart, that pick rate is yet to hit a peak and is climbing all the time. It will be extremely interesting to see where Rampart settles.

In other Apex Legends pick rate news, Octane still commands the top spot in Season 10, despite a nerf to his jump pad. His pick rate has fallen slightly to around 15%, but he’s still the most popular legend by a considerable margin.

It’s safe to say that most Apex players didn’t have ‘Rampart having a 5% pick rate’ on their Season 10 bingo cards, but here we are. It’s good to see a heavily-neglected legend receive some love, but only time will tell if the changes will make a lasting impact on the meta.
