Apex Legends Pathfinder bug doubles the length of your ziplines

Here's how you can create extra long ziplines with Pathfinder in Apex Legends

Pathfinder Apex Legends

You all remember that wild Pathfinder zipline bug from the early days of Apex Legends, right? You know, the one where you could traverse pretty much half the map with one usage of Path’s ultimate ability? Well, an Apex Legends player has found a new glitch that can give you much longer ziplines once again.

While it’s nowhere near as broken as the original Pathfinder bug, Apex Legends player ‘RossBobSquirrel’ has found a new method to making extra long ziplines. Pathfinder ziplines are limited to a maximum length of 100 metres, however this RossBobSquirrel claims that this trick can more than double that. In his video below, he manages to create a 230 metre zipline that spans from Fragment East to Fragment West on World’s Edge.

So how do you do it? Well, first you have to pop your ultimate and hover the placement indicator over an eligible spot (i.e. within the 100 metre limit). Then, cancel your ultimate, and begin running further away from that point in a straight line. Be sure that you can still see the spot where you had your placement indicator and that there isn’t anything obstructing your line.

Once you’ve run further away, bring out your ultimate again. Don’t aim at the exact point you aimed at first of all – instead, aim several metres above it. With a little bit of trial and error with camera movement, your indicator will turn blue, meaning you can place the zipline and it will span all the way from that initial placement point to where you are now standing.

While this does mean you get some super-long ziplines to traverse around the map, it’s safe to say that the intricacy and amount of time needed to set this glitch up means it’s probably not going to be a game-breaking strat for your Apex Legends ranked matches.

However, it is pretty amusing to see that even after all these years, we can still find new ways to break one of the OG legends in Apex. Expect a fix for this bug to feature in the Apex Legends patch notes for an update in the not too distant future.
