Apex Legends is getting a duos mode for a limited time

The long-requested duos mode is coming to Apex Legends for a limited time only. So if you’re sick of random players taking your preferred legend, or forcing you and your friend to hot drop, you’re in luck.

The mode, which will drop on Tuesday, November 5, follows Respawn’s attempts to shake-up the meta in the battle royale shooter, and give fans of the game something they’ve been asking about for months. The addition of duos also follows the trial run of solo mode back in August.

Although it’s been billed as a limited time event, much like the game’s current solo Shadowfall Halloween event, some fans are questioning whether these trials could lead to permanent additions in the future. And with EA confirming that Apex is a “long-term franchise” for the company, the addition of different modes might well be on the cards.

Yesterday, Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic Arts reiterated the company’s commitment to the game in EA’s 2020 Q2 report. According to the CEO, a competitive program is in the works, alongside a mobile game, more content, and more.

With a growing development team and more targets to hit, Apex Legends may look a bit different in the coming seasons.
